Genevieve Lopes Rochefort, 73, of Shaw St., New Bedford, died peacefully, with her family at her bedside, on Wednesday after a long illness. Born in Rabo de Peixe, Sao Miguel, Acores, daughter of late Antonio and Emily Martins, she was the office manager of her family business, All City Aluminum. A cornerstone of her family, she was tireless in her devotion to them. Later in life, she loved ballroom dancing, working out at her gym, traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Beloved mother of Gary Lopes (wife-Diane) of Lexington, and Anne Parisi (husband-Kenneth) of Rehoboth; grandmother of Ashley Keogh (husband-Michael), Brittany Ross (husband Ryan), Emily and Katherine Lopes, Genevieve and Nicole Parisi. great grandmother of Brayden Keogh; sister of Mary Pereira, Venilde Gouveia, Helen Raposo, Valdemar, Joseph, Lucy and Arthur Martins, all of Fall River, Joanne Correa of Swansea and the late Antonio Martins. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, January 17, in St. John of God Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
