George K.
Abdallah
d. Aug 28, 2021
George K. Abdallah, 97, of Swansea, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Fall River Jewish Home. Born in Fall River, a son of the late Kalil Abdallah and the late Nazira (Solomon) Abdallah, he resided in Swansea for the past sixty years.
He was employed as a machinist at Brown and Sharp Manufacturing Company for some time and had also worked for the U. S. Postal Service. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, George had also served in the U. S. Merchant Marines.
Known for being a jack-of-all-trades, George was exceptionally skilled in a number of areas –plumbing, electrical work, and auto repair to name a few – and could fix almost anything; he even built his own home. He was a member of the St. Anthony of the Desert Church.
He is survived by: a brother, Alphonse Abdallah (wife Constance) of Swansea; nieces/nephews, Veronica Abdallah, Patricia Abdallah, Alan Abdallah, Robert Abdallah, George Abdallah, Michael Abdallah, Charlene Wolstenholme, and Edward Maroon; and several grand-nieces and -nephews. He was also a brother of the late Joseph Abdallah, Michael Abdallah, Josephine Maroon, Albert Abdallah, Abdallah Abdallah, and Isabel Abdallah. Special thanks go out to George's caregivers: Lynn, Laura, Melissa, and Eddie.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, September 2nd, in St. Anthony of the Desert Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery. Please omit flowers. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider making a donation in George's memory to St. Anthony of the Desert Church, 300 North Eastern Avenue, Fall River, MA 02723
