George D. Amaral, age 67, of Fall River, passed away at home on Saturday, December 26, 2015. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Antone Amaral and the late Mary Isabel (Duarte) Amaral. A lifelong resident of this city, he was employed for many years at the former Trina Inc. and was a communicant of Espirito Santo Church. George was the brother of Rose Seibert of Somerset, MA, and Mary Arruda of Fall River, and the proud uncle of fifteen nieces and nephews and eleven godchildren. He was also the brother of the late Antone Amaral, Jr, Angelina Amaral Carvalho and Veronica Silvia. Services with the Silva Faria Funeral Home were private at George's request. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Espirito Santo Church followed by interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. For the wonderful care George received, the family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Peter Mandelson, Nurse Practitioner Liz & Hospice, and the nursing staff at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
