Gerard
Bouchard
d. Jul 8, 2024
Gerard Bouchard, 82, of Fall River, husband of Helen Mary (Costa) Bouchard, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Kimwell Nursing Home following a long illness. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Horace Bouchard and the late Irene (Deschenes) Bouchard.
A United States Veteran of the Army, he proudly served his Country during peacetime. Prior to his retirement he worked as a salesman for Kameyama Candle for many years. An avid reader, he also loved anything to do with outer space, John Wayne movies, his dogs, and playing cards with his son, Arthur. Gerard enjoyed picnics at Colt State Park and, most importantly, spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides his loving and devoted wife of sixty-three years, he leaves his children, Judith Frazier and her husband, Brian, of Fall River, Gerard Bouchard and his wife, Nancy, of Swansea, Debra Lebow (late husband, Dennis), Arthur Bouchard, both of Fall River, and Susan Bouchard and her boyfriend, Donald Dejesus, of New Bedford; his nine grandchildren, Crystal Frazier, Brian Fazier, Katie Frazier, Jessica Bouchard, Wayne Bouchard, Stephanie Codega, Brittany Ouellette, Briana Upton, and Annabella Upton; five great-grandchildren, Ethan Bouchard, Autumn Bouchard, Payton Ouellette, Caleb Ouellette, and Paige Codega-Ryan; his three sisters, Doris Rodrigues, Theresa Richards, and Rita Laflure; his brothers, Leo Bouchard, Albert Bouchard, and Robert Bouchard; son-in-law, Thomas Upton; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Lisa Upton and brother of the late Henry Bouchard, Roger Bouchard, Annette Nuttal, Cecile Rego, and Lucille Andrade.
Following a private cremation, a Celebration of Gerard's Life held Sunday, August 4th, during a visitation period in our Fall River Chapel.
