Germano Dias, 82, of Somerset, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at home. Born in Fall River, a son of the late John Baptista Dias and the late Irene (Moniz) Dias, he lived most of his life in Westport.

He enjoyed the day program at Community Connections where he was affectionately known as "The Mayor." A well-liked and jubilant spirit, Gerry was always quick to shake hands and enjoy sharing positive energy with everyone he met.

He is survived by: Alphonse Dias (wife Ruth) of Jacksonville, FL, Rosemary Chaine of Carrollton, GA, Carl Dias (late wife Patricia) of Ocala, FL, and Anthony Dias (wife Pamela) of Westport; and many nieces/nephews, grandnieces/nephews, and great grandnieces/nephews. His brothers, John B. Dias, Jr., and Joseph Dias predeceased him.

Following a private cremation, His Funeral Service was held on Friday, January 27th, during a visitation period in our Fall River Chapel. His cremains were later buried in his family's lot at Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Gerry's memory to a charity of your choice.
