Ghaleb T. Saade, 82, of Fall River, husband of May (Rbeiz) Saade, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Morton Hospital in Taunton, MA after a brief illness.

Born in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Tannous Saade and the late Tabita (Assi) Saade.

A very friendly, funny and out-going man, he was very active in politics, was a ranking member of the Lebanese Phalangist Party, and was considered to be the "peacemaker" in his native land keeping it out of conflict during periods of civil war. An entrepreneur, Ghaleb owned several businesses in Lebanon and here in the United States. He also enjoyed his trips to the casinos and traveling extensively to Europe, the Middle East, and throughout the United States. But most important, Ghaleb was a dedicated family man who loved and provided well for his family.

Besides his wife of thirty-three years, he leaves: his son, Tannous "Tony" Saade and his wife, Antonella,  of Fall River; his brothers, John Saadi and his wife, Theresa, of New Bedford, and Saade Saade and his wife, Evette, of Somerset; sisters, Ann Saade (late husband, Shafiq) of Lebanon, Saadah Saade (late husband, Jamile) of Lebanon, Milia Najem (late husband, Joseph) of Lebanon, Leila Assi and her husband, Mounir, of Lebanon, Houda Saadi of New Bedford and Mona Sadaka (late husband, Habib) of New Bedford; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Rosamal Ibrahim, Jacob Saade, and Joseph Saade.

Due to the COVID pandemic, Ghaleb was laid to rest on Friday, November 6th, with a private committal service at Nathan Slade Cemetery in Somerset. When the current crisis allows, his family is planning to celebrate his life with a Memorial Funeral Mass, which will be announced here.
