Gil D. Pereira, 69, of Fall River, passed away Sunday at home. Husband of Rosalina (de Medeiros) Pereira. Born in Lomba do Lucao, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Gil and Honorina Pimentel. Gil was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Beloved father of Dina Carreiro (husband-Rui) and Sonya Bird; grandfather of Michael and Dylan Carreiro and Karis Bird; brother of Ines Vieira, Urselina Leite, Cecilia Couto, Jose Pimentel and the late Manuel Pimentel. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, January 13th, in Saint Anthony of Padua Church followed by a committal service at St. Patrick Cemetery.
