Gil "Barata" Medeiros, 66, of Fall River passed away Monday after a long illness. Husband of Maria C. (Oliveira) Medeiros. Born in Capelas, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Joaquim and Urselina (De Jesus) Medeiros. Father of Elizabeth Costa, Jack, Messias, Gil, Jr., Urselina, Margaret, Diane, Kathy and Annie Medeiros. He also leaves 12 grandchildren, 11 brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews. On Friday, January 14th, family and friends gathered to celebrate his Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by a committal service at St. Patrick Cemetery.
