Gilbert J. Medeiros, age 67, of Somerset, Massachusetts, passed away at home on Friday, October 24, 2014, following an illness. He was the husband of Anna Maria (Mello) Medeiros. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late John J. Medeiros and the late Maria (Pimentel) Medeiros. After residing in Fall River for thirty-two years, he moved to Somerset in 1979. Gilbert was employed in the garment trade of Fall River for many years at Bradley-Scott Clothes Inc., the former maker of men's clothing located on Howe Street in Fall River. He was a parishioner of St John of God Church in Somerset and a member of the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union. In addition to his wife Anna, family members include two sons; Richard J. Medeiros of Largo, FL, and Kevin P. Medeiros of Somerset, a brother, John Medeiros of Somerset, six grandsons; Kevin P. Medeiros, Jr., Shawn Medeiros, Tai J. Medeiros, Camden R. Medeiros, Cody J. Medeiros and Logan Medeiros, a niece and three nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, October 28, in St. John of God Church, Somerset, followed by his committal and entombment at the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum in Fall River.
