Gilberta Gallant, 56, of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2010. Born in St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Agostinho and Olimpia (Reis) Massa. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and getting involved in political issues especially those concerning human rights. Survivors include sisters: Alda Correia, Mary Medeiros, Ruth Coughlin, Lydia Costa, Cidalia Thibault, Nelia O'Dwyer and Theresa Michael; brothers Abel, Olimpio, Benjamin, Vasco Massa and the late Agostinho Massa, Jr. Pallbearers Gary and Earl Medeiros, Peter Coughlin, Blake Massa and Christopher Massa brought her to her final resting place at Notre Dame Cemetery. Her funeral was private.
