Gilda C. Fagundo, 87, of Somerset, formerly of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Widow of Gil C. Fagundo. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Francisco DeMedeiros Silva and Maria da Conceicao Resendes. Survivors include her son, Victor C. Fagundo of Fall River; daughter, Maria de Fatima Sousa (husband – Felisberto) of Fall River; sisters, Maria Olga Silva of East Providence, RI and Odette Sousa of Vancouver, Canada; grandchildren, Peter Sousa, Daniel Sousa, Alice Fagundo and Andrew Sousa; great grandchildren, Hannah, Nicholas and Payton; and several nieces and nephews. She was also mother-in-law of the late Isabel Fagundo and sister of the late Dionisio Silva and Brigida Melo. Her funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, January 25th at St. Anthony of Padua Church. She was laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery.
