Gilda Faria, 83, of Fall River, wife of the late Antonio Faria, passed away peacefully on Monday at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born in Bretanha, St.Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Silvino and Maria (DoCarmo) Amaral. She worked as an assembler in the local textile industry for many years prior to her retirement. Gilda love cooking, baking, gardening, and trips to the water. She also enjoyed watching the Portuguese channel.  But most importantly, she loved her family and spending time with them. She leaves: her children, Manuel Antonio Faria, Mario Faria and his wife Nicole, and Maria G. DeOliveira, all of Fall River; four grandchildren, Michele Leite, Lucas DeOliveira, Kelly Faria, and Marissa Faria; four great-grandchildren, Savannah Leite, Abigail Leite, Trinity Faria, and Jaylee Faria; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the grandmother of the late Jason Faria. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, April 27th, in Espitito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
