Glenn Joseph Teixeira, 53, of Fall River, passed away on Sunday, September 13th, 2009 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, he was the beloved son of Louisa (Sbardella) Teixeira of Fall River and the late John S. Teixeira. A graduate of Diman, he was employed at the former Quaker Fabric as an electrician. He was a member of the Sons of Italy Vittorio Veneto Lodge #1035 and was also a member of an online community with a shared interest in traveling. Glenn had a passion for cooking and was an avid sports fan; he especially enjoyed the Red Sox and played in the Fall River Scholarship Softball League. Father of Mathieu Teixeira of Fall River, brother of John Teixeira (wife Lynda) of Raynham and Sue Sousa (husband Bob) of Somerset. He also leaves his beloved uncle Al Sbardella, nieces Kim & Lori Sousa, nephews John & Michael Teixeira, several cousins and many friends, including his nurse Sue Turner & therapist Sherry Vasconcellos. The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, September 17th, 2009 at Holy Rosary Church. Following the service, pallbearers Kim and Lori Sousa, Paul and Michael Duhamel, John and Michael Teixeira, Louis Sbardella and Paul Gomes brought Glenn to his final resting place in St. Patrick Cemetery.
