Guilherme A. Frizado, 76, husband of Ruth (Soares) Frizado, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, after an illness. Born in St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Dinis and Palmira (Jerome) Frizado, he emigrated to Fall River in 1977 and worked for many years as a union laborer with various local firms including FC Construction. He also operated Frizado Landscaping and was known for selling firewood.
He loved his family, and enjoyed watching old westerns and participating in Portuguese singing challenges (known as "Cantoria Desafio"). Besides his wife, he is survived by: two children, Liberia C. Farias and Milton C. Frizado both of Fall River; eight siblings, Dinis and Francisco, both of St. Michael, Azores; Gerald, Ermelinda and Zelia, all of Canada; Palmira, Conceicao and Norberta all of Faial, Azores; four grandchildren, Matthew Farias (wife Natasha), Alex Frizado, Anthony Frizado and Aryana Frizado; many nieces & nephews, including his special niece, Sandy Sousa. He was also brother of the late Hermano, Manuel and Joao Frizado.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, November 20th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St Patrick Cemetery.
