Harold Ferreira, age 71, of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, March 26, 2011. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late John Ferreira and the late Maximina (Cabral) Ferreira. A lifelong resident of Fall River, he was employed for many years with his father at the former Ferreira & Son Fruit Market on Davis Street in Fall River. He also worked for several years at the Slater Paper Box Company and also at Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River. Harold was an avid drag racing competitor and fan, racing his own cars under the names "Boss" and "The Flash". Surviving family members include his brother, Stephen Ferreira of Somerset, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late John Ferreira, Jr., Eugene Ferreira and Mary Stella Viveiros. Following his cremation, a Memorial Mass was celebrated on Saturday, April 16 in St Anthony of Padua Church. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Harry's memory to your favorite charity.
