Harry L. Borges, 88, of Swansea, formerly of Franklin, passed away on April 27th, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Husband of Ellen McCloskey. Born in Fall River, son of the late Antone and Mary (Medeiros) Borges. Harry proudly served his country with the Army's 591st Field Artillery Battalion in Europe during WW II. He worked for many years at J & J Corrugated Box both in this city and after they moved to Franklin from where he retired. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Susan Cestodio; a granddaughter, Laurie Ann Pieroni; a great grandson, Justin Pieroni; a nephew and a cousin. According to his wishes, Harry was cremated and his ashes were interred with military honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
