Helen Amore, 97, of Fall River, wife of the late Alfred J. Amore, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in the comforts of her daughter's home in Port St. Lucie, Florida after a brief illness. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Costa Vasconcellos and the late Justina (Diogo) Vasconcellos.

She worked as a sewing machine operator at Aueback Bathrobe for thirty-five years, then for Anderson Little from where she retired in 1985. She loved sewing, shopping, playing bingo, and  trips to the casino. Helen also very much enjoyed dancing with her beloved late husband of whom she shared sixty-one years of marriage, dining out, and traveling to such places as Spain, Portugal, and Florida.

She leaves: her loving daughter, Patricia Amore and her companion, Robert Metcalf, of Fall River and St. Lucie, Florida; her sister, Iria Benivedse (late husband, Alfred) of Westort; her brother, Raymond Vasconcellos and his wife, Aileene, Westport; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Manuel Vasconcellos, Joseph Vasconcellos, Mary Andrade, John Vasconcellos, and Adelono Vasconcellos.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, January 14th, in Good Shepherd Parish Church followed by her private committal and entombment at the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum both in Fall River.
