Helen A. Pereira, 79, of Fall River, widow of Alfred A. "Buffalo" Pereira, passed away late Sunday night surrounded by family at Kimwell Nursing Home after a short illness. Born in Bretanha, St Michael, Azores, she emigrated to Fall River in 1951, and worked for many years in the local textile industry. A very giving person, she was generous to those in need. She leaves: a loving daughter & son-in-law, Theresa A. & Jose "Joe" Medeiros; siblings, Manuel Moreira (wife Margarida), Dimas Moreira (wife Margaret), Mary Viveiros, Mariana Pedro, Hilda Viveiros, & Maria E. Cabral; her loving godchild, Gayle Cabral, SSgt US Army; several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, June 28, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
