Helen (Aguiar) Raposo, age 92, formerly of Hood Street in Fall River, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014, surrounded by her family in Swansea. She was the widow of Henry F. Raposo. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Jose Aguiar and the late Maria (Silvia) Aguiar. A longtime resident of Fall River, Helen affectionately known as Arnie by her grandchildren and everyone who came to know and love her, also lived on Bond Street for many years. She enjoyed life as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Brennan of Swansea, three grandchildren; Tracy Boland (husband Michael) of Hanover, MA, Kimberly Mooney (husband Thomas) of Swansea, and Christopher Brennan of Swansea, a brother John Aguiar (wife Elaine) of North Dartmouth and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Joe Aguiar, Nick Aguiar, Mary Franco, Eva Antaya, and Marianna Silvia. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, April 26, in St. Dominic's Church, Swansea, followed by her committal at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Fall River.
