Helena T. (Albernaz) Estacio, age 81, of Westport Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River on Monday, August 15, 2016. She was the wife of the late Joao Estacio. Mrs. Estacio was born in Bretanha, St. Michael and was the daughter of the late Manuel T. and the late Miquelina T. (Ferreira) Albernaz. She was employed as a sewing machine operator for many years, until her retirement in 1996. Helena was a parishioner of Espirito Santo Church in Fall River. She is survived by her five children; Emilio Estacio and his wife Marie Oliveira, John Estacio, Jr., Manuel Estacio and his wife Dawn, Beverly Estacio, and Madalina Estacio Estrela and her husband Felix all of Fall River; loving grandmother of seven : Christina Soares, Megan Glover, Delaney Silvia, Desiree Estrela, Moses Estrela, Emilio Estacio, Jr., and Ashley Estacio; four great grandchildren: Bella Branco, Lana Glover, Julianna Howland, and Esme Glover. She leaves many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her brother Joao Tavares and his wife Leonor of Tiverton Rhode Island, and her sister Odilia T. Marques of Fall River. Helena was the sister to the late Manuel T. Alvernaz, the late Maria T. Arruda and the late Jose Alvernaz. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, August 19th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal and entombment at the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
