Helena C. Pereira, 90, of Fall River, widow of Gil Caetano Pereira, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, at St. Anne's Hospital surrounded by her loving children, daughters-in-law, and son-in-law. Born in Pilar, Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Cordeiro and the late Maria da Conceicao Cordeiro.

Helena was a spit fire even at her young age of 90. She loved to crochet every day and enjoyed her flowers. She was a loving mother to her six children, daughters-in-law, and son-in-law and grandmother to her grandchildren whom she helped raise in her younger years. She also enjoyed her traveling to St. Michael every year with her husband. She especially loved her gatherings with all her children and grandchildren—she was the happiest at those times.

Her famous quotes were: "OH MY GOAT" and "I KNOOOOOOW."

She leaves her children: Gilda Medeiros and her husband Joe, of Fall River, Luis Pereira and his wife Sandy, of Fall River, Gabriel Pereira and his wife Tina, of New Bedford, Gil Pereira and his wife Lee, of Fall River, Paul Pereira and his wife Darlene, of Fall River, and Carlos Pereira and his wife Mariana, of Westport; grandchildren: Monique, Philip, Kyle, Eric, Jake, Ryan and Briana; two great-grandchildren: Josiah and Olivia and a third on the way.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Calling Hours to be held in Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford Street, Fall River, on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Her Funeral will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 9:00 am from the Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford St, Fall River, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered Espirito Santo at 10:00 am. Committal Service and interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
