Helena (Miranda) Young, 83, formerly of Fall River, passed away Saturday, at her daughter's residence in Hurtsboro, AL, with whom she resided for the last 12 years. Widow of Paul Floyd Young. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Manuel and Nora Miranda. A legal secretary, she worked for the late Atty. John Harrington for over 40 years. Most recently, while in Alabama, she was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, Blessed Trinity in Ft. Mitchell and an active member of their Apostolic Council and Prayer Shawl Ministry. Helen also belonged to the Hurtsboro Library Knitting Club. Beloved mother of Frances Jennejahn (husband - Robert) of Hurtsboro, Judy Murphy of Fredericksburg, VA, Paul Young and Robert Young (wife - Beilei) both of East Greenwich, RI; sister of the late Manual Miranda, Jr. and Juliette Miranda. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, many nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated at Espirito Santo Church. She was laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery.
