Obituary

Henry Perreira, 81, of Dighton, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation - Highlander, Fall River. He was the beloved husband, for 54 years, of the late Alexandrina "Sandra" (Campos) Perreira. Born in Feteiras de Sol, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Henrique & Maria Gloria (Correira) Perreira, he emigrated to Fall River in the late 1950s – becoming a U.S. citizen, of which he was proud – and worked in the local construction industry for many years, retiring from DeMatteo as a general superintendent.

He was a longtime member, and a former president, of the Fall River Sports Club. Henry was also a co-founder and former president of the Banda Nossa Senhora de Conceicao Mosteirense.

He is survived by: two children, Christopher Perreira (wife Jennifer) and Ann Marie Miller (husband Jerry); six grandchildren, Victoria Perreira, Willie Perreira, Adam Perreira, Jessica Bullock (husband Ryan), Joshua Raposo (wife Linzi), and Jillian Raposo; four great grandchildren, Reece, Logan, Kylie, and Ella; and many nieces & nephews. He was also a brother of the late late John Perreira, Luzia Raposa, Jose Perreira, and Manuel Perreira.

Henry's funeral was celebrated on Saturday, March 25th, in St. John of God Church, Somerset, followed by his committal at at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider making a donation in his memory to:
