Henry Franklin Thomas, Jr., 79, of Fall River, husband of Charlotte E. (Costa) Thomas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, after an illness. Born in Fall River, son of the late Henry F. Thomas, Sr., and the late Catherine V. (Galvin) Thomas, he attended Diman Regional Vocational High School and joined the U. S. Marine Corps at the age of 17 – earning his GED at a later time. He served his country honorably during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

He had worked for many years in the wholesale plumbing supply business, first working at the former Corcoran Supply, then at Plumbers Supply, from which he retired in 2003. Henry was a "Mr. Fix-it," who could fix anything, and he loved his tools – which he would gladly let you borrow, so long as you were sure to return them.

Besides his wife, with whom he would have celebrated their 55 ^th wedding anniversary next month, he is survived by: Christopher H. Thomas and his wife Patricia of Fall River, Sheri Thomas McCallister of Fall River, and William J. Thomas, Sr., and his wife Cindy of Westport; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was also the brother of the late Veronica McConnell and the late Patricia Paul.

The family is grateful to the staff at Charlton Memorial Hospital for their compassion and kindness.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, April 20th, in Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport, followed by his private committal with military honors at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
