Herbert Raymond Fontaine, 87, of Portsmouth, RI, passed away Friday at home. Beloved husband of Patricia (Goncalo) Fontaine and the late Annette (Lizotte) Fontaine. Born in Fall River, son of the late Herbert J. and Anna (Kelman) Fontaine, he was a union truck driver out of Teamsters Local #251 before his retirement. Father of Susan Davol (husband-the late Dale) of Branford, CT, Herbert R. Fontaine II (wife-Eileen) of Westport, Stephen Fontaine and Michele Imbriglio (husband-Thomas) both of Fall River,  Kenneth Fontaine (wife - Debra) of Portsmouth, Patricia Kelly (husband-Shawn) of Tiverton and the late Brenda Audette and Pauline Forcier. One of 15 children, Ray was the brother of Barbara Bonas, Louise Gardella, William and Alan Fontaine and the late Anna Smith, Gladys Gagne, Jean Mello, Joan LaFleur, Maureen Gagnon, Norman, Roger, Wilfred and Robert Fontaine. He also leaves 2 sons-in-law, Norman Audette and Roger Forcier; 21 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and his faithful companions Toby and Papi. His Funeral Service was held on Thursday, January 12th, in our Fall River Chapel followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
