Herminio P. Duarte, 78, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Sunday. He was the husband of Maria (Conceicao) Branco. Born in St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Joao & Mariana C. (Silva) Duarte. For many years he worked at River Falls Mfg., formerly Rothschild. Herminio loved gardening and raising his birds. Besides his wife, he is also survived by a son, Herminio Duarte, Jr. of Palm Coast, FL; daughters, Connie Marques, Maria Rego and Tina Silva, all of Fall River; brothers, Silvino Duarte and Manuel Pereira, both of Fall River; sister, Maria da Silva of Fall River; grandchildren, Shawn, Nadia, Jason, Robert, Bryanna and Bobby; great grandchildren, Kendall and Mason; and several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Jose Duarte, John Perry, Ilda Raposa and Arthur Pereira. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, October 3, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
