Hilda Barboza, 98, of Fall River, wife of the late Arthur Barboza, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Kimwell Nursing Home following a brief illness. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late John Medeiros and the late Mary (Pontes) Medeiros.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a Home Health Aide for many years. She loved cooking, dancing, and singing. Hilda also enjoyed traveling to such places as Florida, California, and Cape Cod.

She leaves her loving children, Anna Rioux and her husband, Thomas, of Westport, and Dennis J. Vasconcellos of Florida; her seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many great-great grandchildren; her sister, Evelyn Travers of Tiverton, Rhode Island; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the great-grandmother of the late Alazea Vasconcellos and sister of the late Edward Medeiros, Ernest Medeiros, and Albertina  DeCosta.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, December 9th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
