Hilda Cabral, 85, of Fall River, formerly of Langley St, widow of Alvaro Cabral, passed away on Friday May 3, 2019, at Catholic Memorial Home. Born in St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Manuel Medeiros and the late Luisa (Santos) Medeiros, she emigrated to Fall River in 1968.

She was employed in the textile industry for many years, working at various local area mills until retiring in 1997, and was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union ("ACTWU" now UNITE). Hilda enjoyed travelling, caring for her family, and especially loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include: four children, Joseph Cabral (wife Shelley) of Swansea, Carlos Cabral (wife Pam) of West Warwick, RI, Paul Cabral (wife Ann) of Portsmouth, RI, and Maria Andrade (husband Louis) of Westport; two sisters, Aureliana Travassos of Fall River and Escolastica Correia of Florida; eight grandchildren, Jocelyn Oliveira, Stephanie Levesque, Ariana Cabral, Morgan Andrade, Alex Cabral, Adam Cabral, Valerie Cabral, and Sean Cabral; a great grandson, Landon Levesque; and several nieces & nephews. She was also a sister of the late Conceicao Gomes, Noemia Pacheco & Leonida Medeiros

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, May 8th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
