Hilda (Souza) Hinman, 81, of Swansea, wife of Frank D. Hinman, died Friday, June 20, 2008. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Antone & Sylvana (Medeiros) Souza, she resided in Swansea since 1950. Employed in the local textile industry for many years, she retired in 1979 from the Stafford Garment and was a member of the ILGWU (now UNITE). A parishioner of the former St. Michael Church of Swansea (now St Francis of Assisi), she was a lector and in the church choir. Hilda also volunteered at LaSalette Shrine and with Hospice for a number of years. Mother of Donald F. Hinman and Paula Boissonneau both of Swansea. Grandmother of Zachary, Quinn & Dylan Boissonneau. She also leaves several nieces and nephews; and was sister of the late George Souza. A memorial gathering and service was held on Monday (6/30) at the Silva-Faria Somerset Funeral Home, 84 County St, Somerset.
