Obituary

Hilda Michaluk, 97, of Fall River, wife of the late Paul Michaluk, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She and her late husband shared sixty-four wonderful years of marriage. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Fausto J. Vasconcellos and the late Hilda (Serpa) Vasconcellos.

Prior to her retirement, she worked for the Fall River School Department for many years. She loved playing cards with friends and family, going out for breakfast, and trips to the casino. Hilda was always willing to give a helping to anyone in need. But most notably, she enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren, especially the sleep overs at her house.

She leaves her children, Thomas Michaluk and his wife, Kathleen, of Seekonk, Brandon Michaluk of Florida, and Paula Raposa (late husband, Tobias), of Newport, Rhode Island; her seven grandchildren, Christina Delngenis (Frank), David Michaluk (Nicole), Galilee Raposa (Brittany), William Michaluk (Amy), Autumn Raposa, Jasmyne Raposa, and Jonathan Michaluk; eight great-grandchildren, Hanna, Sophia, Maximillion, Tyler, Nicholas, Chase, Rose, and Brady; her brother, Alfred Vasconcellos; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her good friend and caregiver, Geraldine Garcia. She was the sister of the late Lyllyan Borges, Ayres Vasconcellos, Fausto Vasconcellos, Jr., Anthony Vasconcellos, Robert Vasconcellos, and Richard Vasconcellos.

Although her cremation was private, Hilda's family is planning to have memorial services at a later date which will be announced here.
