Hilda Raposo, 82, of Fall River and formerly of Somerset, passed away on Monday. Widow of Joao R. Raposo. Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Luis & Francisca (da Costa) Medeiros. Survivors include sons, Joe Raposo (wife – Deolinda) and Fernando Raposo (wife – Aciolinda), both of Fall River and Staff Sgt. Edward Raposo (wife – Lorie) of Westport; daughters, Mary Borges of Fall River and Natalie Haff (husband – James) of Ripon, CA; sisters, Nellie Carvalho and Irene Costa, both of Somerset; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, with one on the way; and several nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late John M. Raposo. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, January 5, in Sts. Peter & Paul Parish at Holy Cross Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
