Horacio C. Barao, 78, of Fall River, formerly of Brayton Ave., died November 12, 2008 at St. Anne's Hospital after an extended illness. He was the husband of the late Maria Olinda (Cordeiro) Barao. Born in Rabo de Peixe, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Antonio & Maria dos Anjos (Costa) Barao. A Fall River resident since 1976, he worked for the former American Tourister Co. An avid soccer fan, his favorite team was Sporting. He also loved gardening and enjoyed dancing with his grandchildren. Horacio is survived by sons, Jose Barao of Dighton and Horacio M. Barao of Spain, daughters, Maria C. Bento of Westport, Laudalina Pimentel of Fall River and Natalia Pinheiro of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, a sister, Armanda Bonacia of Fall River, grandchildren, Monica, Melissa, Shaina, Shannon, Brittany, Janine, Kyle, Tanisha and Nathan, great granddaughter, Myranda and many nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Antonio Barao. His funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Committal service was held at Notre Dame Cemetery.
