Ian A. Amarantes, 43, of Fall River, fiancé of Rebecca (Goff) Dozois, Passed away at home on Thursday July 2, 2020 after a long illness. Born in Fall River, a son of Mary Jane (Santos) Amarantes of Westport and the late Robert Amarantes, he was a lifelong resident of Fall River.

He was a truck driver with Anderson Windows for about 4 years and had also been a fire fighter. A U.S. Army veteran of the Iraq War, he served his country honorably for one tour of duty. He loved cars and music, and enjoyed BMX bikes and computers.

In addition to his mother and fiancée, he had many siblings and half-siblings, some of whom had predeceased him.

Following his private cremation, a memorial visitation period was on Friday, July 17th, in our Fall River Chapel.
