Idalina C. (Garcia) Da Costa, of Fall River, died Sunday, March 13, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife, for 57 years, of Aires V. Da Costa. Born in Achadinha, Sao Miguel, Azores, daughter of the late Virgnio & Eva (Sousa) Garcia, she resided in Fall River since emigrating in March 1960. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and being with her family. She was the wonderful mother to Gino Costa (wife-Mary Lou), Marie Gloria Soares (husband-Carlos) & Paula Costa Cullen (husband-Charles) all of Fall River, Joe Costa (wife-Evelina) & Carlos Costa (wife-Cindy) of Somerset, and the late Idalina "Linda" Da Costa; the loving grandmother to Eric (wife-Brittany), Bradford, Brittany, Austin & Sabrina Costa, and Natasha & Sarah Soares. She leaves a brother, Jose Garcia of Dartmouth, and a sister, Dora Vieira of Toronto, Canada; and was sister of the late Maria DaLuz Correiro, Cloetilde Medeiros, Joao Garcia, Maria Acencao Da Costa, Deolinda Marques & Maria DosAnjos Correia. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, March 17th, at St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by a commital service at St. Patrick Cemetery.
