Idalino C. Resendes, 68, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Tufts Medical Center. Born in St. Michael, Azores, a son of the late Jose Resendes and the late Maria do Carmo (Botelho) Resendes, he emigrated to New Bedford in 1969 and resided in Fall River for the past 30+ years.

He was employed in the local textile industry for many years, retiring in 2018, and enjoyed landscaping. Idalino also enjoyed participating in local area Portuguese American cultural activities, such as attending and volunteering at feasts, especially through his membership in the Society of Senhor da Pedra of New Bedford.

He is survived by three siblings, Jose M. Resendes (wife Maria) of Florida, Liberta M. Resendes of Florida, and Oliver B. Resendes of St. Michael, Azores, and several nieces and nephews.

Following a private cremation, His Memorial Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, April 6th, in Santo Christo Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Idalino's memory to a charity of your choice.
