Ilda Arruda, age 88, of Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at the Kimwell Nursing Home on New Boston Road in Fall River after a short illness. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Mariano Arruda and the late Georgianna (Soares) Arruda. A lifelong resident of Fall River, Ilda was employed in the textile trade of this city as machine operator for many years. Surviving family members include her two sisters; Mary Clark of Fall River, and Alice Rezendes of Westport, MA, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Joseph Arruda and the late Zelma Ferguson. A Private Memorial Service was held at Whites of Westport. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery on Stafford Road in Fall River was also private.
