Ilda "Ferreira" DeArruda, 95, of Fall River, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 23, 2020 after a long illness. Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Manuel Jose DeArruda and the late Maria Teresa (Martins) DeArruda, she lived in the Azores most of her life.

A quiet and loving individual, she enjoyed living with her niece and caregiver, Maria Teresa Viveiros (and husband, Hermano), in Fall River for the past 11 years. Several other nieces and nephews also survivor her, and she was the sister of the late Alice "Ferreiras" Viveiros, Maria DeArruda, and Helena DeArruda.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, July 27th, in Espirito Santo Church, followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
