Ilda D. Ferraz, 87, long-time companion of the late Gilberto Nobrega, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2020 after a long illness.

Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Manuel Ferraz and the late Maria Cabral.

Prior to her retirement, she owned a Bed and Breakfast in St. Michael for many years. Ilda loved sewing, baking, and making her family's favorite dessert, "arroz doce" (sweet rice).

She leaves: her children, Victor Nobrega and his wife, Celia, of Fall River, Gilberto Nobrega and his wife, Charlene, of Tiverton, and Fatima Nobrega Martins and her husband, Nicolino, of Fall River; her five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rosaria Florido of Figueira da Foz and Adriana Teixeira of Canada; two brothers, Antonio Ferraz of Fall River and Manuel Ferraz of Somerville; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Zelia Sousa and Conceicao Costa.

Due to the COVID pandemic, Ilda was laid to rest on Monday, June 1st, with a private committal service at St. Patrick Cemetery.
