Irene Borges, 88, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Westport, daughter of the late Mariano and Mary (Perry) Borges, she was a retired textile worker. Sister of the late Pauline DiCarlo and Maryanne Machado, Irene was the loving aunt of Dianne Soares (husband-Henry) of Fall River; Michael DiCarlo (wife-Kathy) of Orlando, FL and Laura Pereira of Fall River and to several grand nieces and nephews. She was also the aunt of the late Alice Baptista, Elizabeth Ferreira and Raymond DiCarlo. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, December 3rd, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
