Irene (Rocha) Farias, 91, of Shawomet Ave., Somerset and formerly of Fall River, passed away Wednesday at Charlton Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Widow of Edward S. Farias. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Joao and Maria Assumpcao (Braga) Rocha. She worked as a sewing machine operator in the local garment industry. Survivors include sons, Steven M. Farias of Somerset and Paul Farias of San Antonio, TX, grandchildren, Casey Marie Farias, Kyle Farias and Justin Farias; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late Edward Farias, Jr., and sister of the late Mary Oliveira, Deolinda Mello, Joseph Rocha and John Rocha. Following her cremation, services will be held privately at the request of the family.
