Irene C. (Silva) Gergora, 94, of Swansea, wife of David Gergora, passed away Thursday 10/14/10 at Somerset Ridge Center after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of Manuel M. & Maria C. (Perreira) Silva. She co-owned and operated, with her husband, Delly's Shoppe formerly of Pleasant St, Fall River, for 48 years. Besides her husband of 70 years, survivors include: siblings, Antone Silva of Fall River, Francisco Silva of Little Compton, RI, and Alice Santos of Tiverton, RI; many nieces and nephews, including Allan Edwards who was like a son to her. Her Funeral Mass was offered on Thursday, Oct. 21, in St. Anthony of the Desert Church followed by her entombment at the Notre Dame Mausoleum.
