Irene M. Gillet, 81, of Fall River, formerly of Somerset, widow of Raymond F. Gillet, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Alfred & Gloria (Paiva) Damas, she had also lived in Somerset for many years.

Formerly of Stafford Rd, Fall River, she had been a parishioner at the former St. William's Church. She was also a member of St. John of God Church. A longtime resident at Highlander Nursing Home, Irene's family is grateful to the nursing staff there for their kind and loving care.

She is survived by: a son, Raymond F. Gillet, II, (wife Susan) of Fall River; a sister, Alice Ploude of Swansea; 3 grandsons, Adam, Tyler, and Joshua; several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, January 17th, in our Somerset Chapel followed by her committal at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Somerset.
