Irene (Garcia) Medeiros, 90, of Fall River, formerly of Swansea, widow of John Phillip Medeiros, passed away on December 22, 2017, at Catholic Memorial Home. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Joao Garcia and the late Alexandrina (Vicente) Garcia.

She enjoyed going with friends to Foxwoods Casino, crocheting many blankets for the family, doing crossword puzzles, and treating all her grandchildren to fun weekends.

Irene was the beloved mother of Debra Ferreira (husband Bruce) of Swansea, and the late Susan L. Medeiros, the late Randall Medeiros, and the late John P. Medeiros Jr. Grandmother of Jason Ferreira, Jessica Medeiros, and Jonathan Medeiros. Great Grandmother of Jaelynn, Gabriella, Natalia, Alivia, Aiden, and Christopher. Sister of John Garcia of Fall River and George Garcia of Swansea, and the late Daniel Garcia. She also leaves many nieces & nephews.
