Irene Pacheco, 71, of Fall River, passed away Sunday, after a long illness. Wife of Laurenco Pacheco. Born in Arrifes, Sao Miguel, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel & Antonia (Massa) Almeida. Employed at the former Chace Curtain Co. for almost 25 years, she was the mother of Mary V. Pacheco and Jose H. Pacheco; grandmother of Stephanie and Michael Pacheco; sister of the late Domingos, Serafim, Manuel, David, Maria Luisa and Maria dos Anjos Almeida, Deolinda Correia, Maria Martins and Dionizia Paulino. She also leaves 2 sisters-in-law, Laurinda and Diamantina Almeida, and many nieces & nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated by Father Brian Albino on Thursday (7/24) in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Committal services followed at St Patrick Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Pacheco, David Coelho, Frank Alves, Rick Resendes, Manuel Papoula and Louis Viveiros.
