Irene (Costa) Pereira, age 81, formerly of Tiverton, Rhode Island, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012, at the Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She was the widow of Antone 'Buff' Pereira. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Costa and the late Josephine (Bernard) Costa. A Fall River resident for most her life, she had also lived in Portsmouth, RI, for thirty five years. Irene was employed in the garment trade for eighteen years at the former Bradley-Scott Clothes Inc, retiring in 1986. Survivors include her loving niece Patricia Rodrigues and family, and several other nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Richard Costa and the late Ernest Costa. Her funeral Mass was celebrated on April 4, 2012 at St. Theresa's Church. She was laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery.
