Irene Petrasso, 81, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 21, 2019 after a long illness. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Mary (Botelho) Petrasso. Prior to her retirement, she was a designer at Sarama Lighting. Irene loved going on long rides and dining out. Easygoing and very social, she also enjoyed spending time with family and friends and bowling at Holiday Lanes. She leaves: her brother, Alphonso Petrasso, Sr., (late wife, Gloria) of Tiverton; and many nieces and nephews, including Alphonso Petrasso, Jr., and his wife Maryann of Fall River who was also her caretaker for the past several years. Irene was also the sister of the late Alfred, Dominic, and Angelo Petrasso, Carmella Carvalho, Frances Manville, Caroline Santos, and Adeline Tafuri. Her Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, February 26th, in our Fall River Chapel followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
