Irondina (Santos) Sousa, 68, of Fall River, widow of Joao I. Sousa, died unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 24, 2007 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Feteiras do Sul, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Jose P. & Maria daLuz Santos, she emigrated to Fall River in 1977. She was employed in the local textile industry for many years. Survivors include: children, John (& his wife Lucy) Sousa of Portsmouth, R.I., Joe Peter Sousa of Fall River, and Mary Lou (& her husband John) Costa of Fall River; brother, Joseph (& his wife Zulmira) Santos of Fall River; grandchildren Matthew & Kyle Costa, Tanya, Joshua & Timothy Sousa; several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was offered on Friday (12/28) in St Anthony of Padua Church. Committal services followed at St. Patrick Cemetery. Pallbearers were Peter, John, Matthew, Kyle, Josh and Timothy Sousa.
