Isabel M. (Cabral) Aguiar, 60, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Sunday at her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was the beloved wife of Carlos M. Aguiar, with whom she shared 35 years of marriage. She was born in Livramento, St. Michael, Azores, and was the daughter of the late Joao and Maria de Lourdes (Ferreira) Cabral, a Fall River resident since 1969, and was employed by Charlton Memorial Hospital where she worked for the last 20 years. Survivors include a son, Steven M. Aguiar and his wife Diane, of Berkley, MA; a daughter, Stacey A. Pavao and her husband Michael, of Westport; a brother, Luis Cabral of Fall River; sisters, Maria Botelho of Fall River, Odilia Cabral of Westport and Lucia Couto of Fall River; granddaughters, Julia and Ava Aguiar, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She had a gentle heart and kind soul and was loved by so many. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be sorely missed and never forgotten. Her Funeral Mass was offered on Friday (5/22) in Espirito Santo Church. Committal services followed at Notre Dame Cemetery.
