Isabel Da Ponte, 85, of Fall River and wife of the late Moses Da Ponte, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Carvalho Grove Nursing Home after a long illness. Born in Arrifes, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Jose de Medeiros Jeronimo and the late Isabel (Cordeiro) Jeronimo.

A devout Catholic, she faithfully attended Mass and prayed the rosary daily. Isabel also enjoyed  cooking, gardening and, most importantly, spending quality time with all her family.

She leaves her three sons, Joseph C. Da Ponte and Phil Da Ponte, both of Fall River, and John Da Ponte and his wife, Anna, of  Swansea; her eight grandchildren, Jonathan Da Ponte, Jennifer Da Ponte, Pricilla Da Ponte, Joshua Da Ponte, Phillip Da Ponte, Vanessa Da Ponte, Justin Da Ponte, and Danielle Da Ponte; her five great-grandchildren, Paintyn, Hailey, Cameron, Logan, and Paisley; one sister, Eduarda Machado and her husband, Manuel, of the Azores; sisters-in-law, Fatima Jeronimo and Neves Jeronimo; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Manuel Jeronimo and the late John Jeronimo.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, December 9th, in Santo Christo Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
