Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Maria Cabral and Silveiro Machado. She immigrated to the United States in 1968 and later became a proud citizen of this country.
She is survived by: her four children, Alcida Almeida and her husband, Gabriel, of Fall River, Maria Lucinda Alves and her husband, Patrick, of Dighton, Jose R. Prior to her retirement from Woodland Manufacturing, she worked as a sewing machine operator in the local garment industry for many years. She loved sewing, crocheting, knitting, and traveling to such places as New York, Maine, and Cape Cod. Isaltina also enjoyed cooking and baking, especially making massa and biscoits. But what was most important to her was spending quality time with her loving family.
Due to the COVID pandemic, Isaltina was laid to rest on Friday, November 20th, with a private committal service at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
